Nepal register first win

Nepal bagged their first win of the SAFF U20 Championship 2023 following a comfortable 4-0 win over Bhutan in the match played at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal Stadium on Sunday.
A hat-trick from Amisha Karki and a goal from Preeti Rai gave Nepal all three points from the match.
Amisha Karki opened the scoring for Nepal in the 19th minute. She scored the other two goals in the 45+2 minute and 63rd minute. Preeti Rai got herself on the mark in the 61st minute.
In another match played later in the day, India and Bangladesh settled for a goal-less draw.
India lead the table with four points from two matches. Bangladesh are also on four points but trail India on goal difference.
