India and Pakistan make winning start

India and Pakistan made a winning start to their SAFF U19 Championship 2023 campaign recording convincing wins in their respective matches played at the Dashrath Stadium on Thursday.
India made light work of Bangladesh defeating them 3-0 while Pakistan edged host Nepal 1-0.
India has it all easy against Bangladesh as they went in front in the first minute itself through Gwgwmsar Goyary. Naoba Meitei (45+5’) and Arjun Oinam (90’) were the other scorers for India.
In the second match of the day, Pakistan went close to scoring several times before getting their winning goal through Ali Zafar in the 76th minute.
The win put India (Group A) and Pakistan (Group B) atop their respective groups with three points each.
