The much awaited SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 sets off with its Official Draw ceremony at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 18 April 2018.
The draw ceremony of the region’s premier football championship was followed by the tournament’s logo unveiling and a press conference.
The program was attended by SAFF and BFF President Mr. KaziSalahuddin, SAFF General Secretary Mr. AnwarulHaqueHelal and other representatives from BFF and SAFF.
The SAFF Suzuki Cup features all seven member countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The participating teams were divided into two groups, of which the hosts Bangladesh, along with Nepal, Pakistan and Bhutan, were placed into group A, while the current champions India, along with Maldives and Sri Lanka fell into group B.
The tournament is set to start on 4 September 2018. The final match will be held on 15 September 2018.
