SAFF U-15 and Women’s draw held

Bangladesh and Maldives will lock horns in the inaugural match of the SAFF U-15 Championship at the ANFA Complex on October 25.
 
The official draw of the sub-continental U-15 tourney was held at the BFF House on September 13 Thursday.
 
Hosts Nepal and defending champion India were put in the separate pots as the top seeds. The final is billed to be held on November 3.
 
Meanwhile the draw of the SAFF Women’s Championship scheduled to kickoff from December 17 to 26 was also held after the draw of U-15.
 
Defending champions India and Bangladesh were pitted in group B and group A. However, the venue of the women’s meet was not finalized. “ Sri Lanka is the potential host and they are at the top of the list, Nepal is the second option, we will finalize the venue within this month” said Anwarul Huq Helal, the general secretary of South Asian Fotball Federation.
 
BFF general secretary  Abu Naeem Shohag, chairman of the BFF Media Committee Amirul Islam Babu and Mindu Dorji, the deputy general secretary of Bhutan Football Federation was also present on the occasion.
