Bangladesh's Sanjida Akhter attempts to take a shot against Pakistan.

Bangladesh U-18 women set sail in the SAFF Under-18 Women’s championship 2018 with a gigantic 17-0 win over Pakistan U18s at the Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu, Bhutan on 30 September 2018.

Bangladesh forward Sirat Jahan Shopna recorded a rare double hat-trick and turns as the top scorer in this tournament with seven goals, however, Nepal forward Rekha Poudel held the second position in the scorers list with her six goals against Pakistan on 28 September 2018.

Marzia, another Bangladesh forward, scored the third hat-trick in the match and later added one more goal in the second half.

Marzia triggered the scoreline ticking in the 7th minute when Sirat Jahan Shopna sent a perfect cross to her from the right wings.

Marzia and Sirat Jahan Shopna both completed their hattricks in the first half as Bangladesh went to the breather on 8-0.

However, in the first half, goalless Pakistan women tried to produce a few counter attacks but strong Bangladesh defense hardly could be broken.

Jersey number 2, Sheuli Azim, scored twice in the 32nd and 69th minute.

Mossammat Mishrat Jahan Moushun, Massammat Akhi Khatun, Srimoti Krisharani and Tahura Khatun netted one goal each in the 37th, 58th, 74th and 87th minute respectively.

With losses to Nepal and Bangladesh, Pakistan U-18 women are now eliminated from this tournament.

In their second and last Group-B match, Bangladesh U-18 women will fight against Nepal on Tuesday, 2 October 2018 at the same venue at 19h00 BST.
