India crowned champions of SAFF U17 Women’s Championship 2025

India’s U-17 women’s football team triumphed at the 2025 SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship, held from August 20 to 31 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu. The India team secured their third title in dominant fashion, winning five of six matches and scoring 30 goals while conceding only four.

  • India finished with 15 points, ahead of Bangladesh (13 points), Nepal (4 points), and Bhutan (2 points).
  • Top Scorer: Anushka Kumari (India) – 8 goals
  • Player of the Tournament: Abhista Basnett (India)
  • Best Goalkeeper: Meghla Rani Roy (Bangladesh)
  • Fair Play Award: Bangladesh
  • Notable victories include India’s 7–0 win over Nepal and 8–0 win over Bhutan.
