Defending champions Bangladesh drawn with India

Defending champions Bangladesh will face India in the group stages of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 to be held in Nepal from October 17-30.
At the draw ceremony held on the side line of the SAFF Ordinary Congress 2024 in Dhaka, All Nepal Football Association President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Huq drew Bangladesh in Group A alongside India, the most successful team in the competition, and Pakistan.
In the same manner, Nepal was placed in Group with Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan.
Top two teams from each group will move to the semi-finals of the championship.
In the previous edition of the championship, Bangladesh won the title defeating Nepal 3-1 in the final played at full-house Dashrath Stadium.
