Semi-final lineup complete for SAFF U16 Championship 2023

India and Bangladesh advanced to the semi-finals of the SAFF U16 Championship 2023 as winners and runners up respectively from Group A.
India collected six points from two matches following 1-0 victory over Nepal, while Bangladesh advanced with three points.
In today’s match, India scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute. They will now face Maldives in the semi-finals. Maldives, meanwhile, defeated host Bhutan 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.
Mohamed Ilan Imran gave Maldives the early lead in the 4th minute but Sonam Dorji fired a quick fire double in the 42nd and 45+3 minute to put Bhutan in the lead. However, the joy was short lived as Kingyel Wangchuk Dorji scored an own goal two minute later to put the game tied at 2-2 before the half time.
Ethan Ibrahim Zaki scored the winning goal in the 71st minute.
In Group B, Pakistan, who finished as the group winner with six points, will face Bangladesh.
